The Activities committee is hard at work on this years Annual Children's Christmas Party.  Santa's workshop has delivered a truck load of gifts to the Union Hall, and preperations are well underway

Today, GE Retirees lead a demonstration outside GE Global Operations in Cincinnati, Ohio.  They were supported by the Coordinated Bargaining Committee, including 201 delegates Bill Maher, Adam Kaszynski, and Freddy Russell.  Retirees built GE, and the Company totally disregards their important contributions and attacks their benefits.  We say NO MORE! CBC Negotiations Day 20 – Monday, June 24, 2019

According to CBC website GE Workers United, and confirmed by updates to the 201 Executive Board from 201 BA Bill Maher, "Halfway through week two of negotiations, significant distance remains between management proposals and union proposals on many important issues."

11 days until contract expiration. No progress will mean a "No" vote. 201 will be holding lunch time flagpole meetings Monday,  June 17th 3am, 11:42am, and 7pm.  

May 30, Plant Gate Unity Rally at GE
We had a great turn out Thursday for the IUE-CWA Local 201 GE Plant Gate Rally to send off our negotiating committee to Cincinnati.  Here are a few of the pictures shot by Isaac Davila and Derek White, more available on our Facebook page.

On May 30th from 2:00pm - 4:00pm IUE-CWA Local 201 will standout and rally in front of the Fairchild gate on Western Ave. 

Show our unity and demands for a fair contract and send off your Union Negotiating Committee to Negotiations in Cincinnati, OH.  Wear your Contract/Union shirts and stand tall! Pass the word through the shop and help bring out your coworkers. YOU are the union!

On May 21, 2019 members of IUE-CWA Local 201 in Lynn, Massachusetts voted unanimously to support a Strike Authorization heading into 2019 GE national contract negotiations.
